Gorey created a handful of pins for the New York City Ballet (and beyond). The primary light pink used throughout the book is reminiscent of classic ballet slippers. 

When the book was initially released, the first 50 orders purchased included three replicated buttons for the customer to pin where they saw fit—a small additional homage to foster the connection between Creator and Observer.
